Application Instructions: For credit waivers of “Social Practice (I) or (II)” / “Service Learning (I) or (II)” courses, please download the “Local Engagement Learning Group Credit Waiver Form” from the attachment of this notice, print a hard copy, prepare your official academic transcript (hard copy), and the credit waiver form downloaded after registering in eCare, then proceed to the Office of Sustainability → Department Office → Office of Academic Affairs to complete the waiver process.

Notes for curriculum requirements by enrollment year are summarized as follows: Retaking students must apply for credit waiver if the course title of the retaken course does not exactly match the original course title listed in their curriculum.
※ Students enrolled in Academic Year 2022–2023: Must complete and pass “Service Learning (I) and (II)” to meet the graduation requirement. Retaking students who complete “Social Responsibility Practice Education” may apply it as a substitute for “Service Learning (I) or (II).”

※ Students enrolled in Academic Year 2023–2024: Starting from the first academic year, students must take at least one “Social Responsibility Practice Education” course each semester and complete them before graduation. Those who take “Social Responsibility Practice Education (III) or (IV)” may be exempt from “(I) or (II)” (automatically recognized by the system without additional procedures). Up to 2 credits may be counted toward the inter-college 6-credit graduation requirement and included in graduation credits (recognized as external elective credits subject to departmental approval).

Course Titles: Social Responsibility Practice Education (I), (II), (III), (IV)
※ Students enrolled in Academic Year 2024–2025: Must complete and pass two “Social Responsibility Practice Education” courses to meet the graduation requirement. In the first academic year, at least one course must be taken each semester. Those who take “(II), (III), or (IV)” may be exempt from “(I)” (automatically recognized by the system without additional procedures), and the credits may count toward external electives and graduation credits. Up to two courses of “(III) and (IV)” may be counted toward the inter-college 6-credit graduation requirement. Credit waivers follow university regulations and are recognized with the lower credit value.

Up to two courses may be counted toward the inter-college 6-credit graduation requirement. Credit waivers follow university regulations and are recognized with the lower credit value.
